Solid Impact Flow Meters
Description
Solid Impact Flow Meter – Reliable Flow Measurement for Bulk Solids in Motion
The Solid Impact Flow Meter is an advanced, non-intrusive device designed for continuous measurement of bulk material flow in gravity-fed systems. It accurately determines the mass flow rate of solids—such as powders, granules, and crushed materials—by calculating the force exerted by the moving material on a sensor plate.
At NEWTON, we offer high-precision Solid Impact Flow Meters tailored for demanding industrial applications such as cement, steel, mining, food processing, and chemical industries. Built to handle abrasive and high-throughput materials, our systems deliver real-time flow data for better process control, inventory management, and automation.
How It Works:
Material flows freely through a chute or pipeline and impacts a sensing plate, which is connected to a load cell or strain gauge sensor. The force of impact is directly proportional to the mass flow rate, which is continuously monitored and converted into an electrical signal.
This signal is processed by a Weight Transmitter or PLC, which can display, log, or control flow based on set parameters.
